Need just 1 shirt? No problem. ARK does DTF (Direct to Film) printing in-house in Colorado Springs with no minimum order requirement. Small orders, fast turnaround, full color.
DTF Printing in Colorado Springs
Most print shops won't touch an order under 12 shirts — the setup cost makes it impractical. At ARK, we use DTF printing for small orders, which means no minimums, no setup fees, and no compromises on quality.
DTF stands for Direct to Film. Your design is printed onto a special transfer film, then heat-pressed directly onto the garment. The result is a vibrant, full-color print with crisp detail that holds up wash after wash — and it works on just about any fabric.
Whether you need one custom shirt for a birthday, five jerseys for a small team, or a quick sample before placing a larger order, ARK has you covered in Colorado Springs.
No Minimum Order
Print as few as 1 shirt. No setup fees, no minimums.
Full Color Prints
Unlimited colors, gradients, and photographic designs.
Fast Turnaround
3–5 business days from artwork approval.
What Is DTF Printing?
Direct to Film printing is a heat-transfer process that works like this: your design is printed in full color onto a special PET film, coated with a hot-melt adhesive powder, and then heat-pressed onto your garment. The result is a smooth, flexible print that bonds directly with the fabric fibers.
Unlike traditional screen printing, DTF requires no screens and no color separation — which means there's no minimum order quantity to make it cost-effective. You get the same quality result whether you're printing 1 shirt or 50.
Unlike vinyl heat transfer, DTF handles complex artwork, gradients, and photographic images without any cutting or weeding. If your design can be printed, DTF can transfer it.
No Setup Fees
No screens, no color separation charges. Your price is the same whether it's your first shirt or your fifth.
Complex Designs Welcome
Gradients, shadows, photographs, fine detail — DTF handles it all without extra cost.
Durable & Wash-Resistant
DTF prints are flexible and durable. They won't crack, peel, or fade with normal washing.
DTF vs. Screen Printing: When We Use Each
At ARK, we use the right method for your order size so you always get the best value:
- 1–5 shirts → DTF printing. No setup cost makes DTF the clear choice for small orders.
- 6+ shirts → screen printing. At higher quantities, screen printing's per-shirt cost drops significantly and delivers exceptional durability.
You don't have to figure this out yourself — just tell us your quantity and we'll recommend the right method and give you a quote.
